Important Information for Families: Transitioning to the New School Boundaries

We understand that the transition to new school boundaries, necessitated by the elementary school closure, can be a time of uncertainty. Our priority is a smooth transition for all students.

👉 For Current Students: If your home address falls into a new school boundary, your student will likely have the option to remain at their current campus (e.g., Sassarini or El Verano) for the upcoming school year. This includes current 4th graders who wish to stay and complete 5th grade. Students interested in reamining at their current elemenary school may submit an intra-disdistrict transfer (IDT) form.  Forms will be available starting January 8, 2026.

  Students currently enrolled at Flowery in grades K-4 for the 2025-26 school year do not need to complete an IDT. Students enrolled in TK at Flowery who wish to remain at Flowery for the dual immersion program will need to complete an IDT. 

  We are committed to honoring these requests and anticipate being able to do so, though the final determination will be confirmed once we review final registration numbers.  More information about intra-district transfers can be found on our District Transfer Information Page. 

👉 Next Steps & Notification: Staff notified parents about their student's specific placement and available options via email on October 22, 2025. This notification included information on new school assignement, next steps and how to stay connected & informed throughout this process.  We will continue to communicate regulary with families as we move throught this transition together.  For the most up-to-date information, including FAQs and transition support, please visit  our School Consolidation Information Page.
