The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is a key component of California's public school funding, enabling districts to set goals, plan actions, and allocate resources to enhance student outcomes. Developed collaboratively with input from parents, educators, and the community, the LCAP addresses key areas like student achievement and school climate. This section contains essential LCAP documents, including plans, public hearing notices, timelines, and engagement session details, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement in education.

LCAP Family & Community Engagement Meeting

Join Sonoma Valley Unified School District leaders to review data, reflect on progress, and recommend goals, actions, and strategies for the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). Two sessions are available:

  • February 19th: 5:30-6:30 PM (Online via Zoom - Meeting ID: 386 914 6407, Passcode: 462804)
  • February 20th: 5:30-6:30 PM (In-person at the SVUSD District Office, 17850 Railroad Ave, Sonoma, CA 95476)

Translation will be provided at both sessions. Partner with us and share your input!

Sonoma Valley Unified School District LCAP Goals (2024-2027)

We are committed to creating safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments that promote a positive school culture. Our focus includes providing high-quality education, fostering academic success for all students, and supporting their readiness for college and careers. We prioritize closing the achievement gap, especially for Multilingual Learners and Students with Disabilities, and emphasize strong community engagement. Our dedicated efforts include retaining highly qualified staff and ensuring active participation from families and the community.

 

 


 

 

Sonoma Valley Unified School District's LCAP Timeline

Includes surveys and engagement sessions from November to April to gather input and finalize the plan. The LCAP draft is developed and reviewed in March and April, with a public hearing and board adoption in May or June. The plan is submitted for county office approval in July.
