Field Trip Request & Information

Passengers Capacity in School Buses:

  • Elementry Schools - 76 passengers per bus
  • Middle Schools - 68 passengers per bus
  • High School - 52 passengers per bus

 

Trip Changes and Cancellation Policy for SVUSD School Buses:

  • To make changes in a trip, One (1) business day advance notification required.
  • To cancel a trip, Two (2) business days advance notification required to avoid a late cancellation charge.
  • To make changes or cancel SVUSD school bus, PLEASE CALL DISPATCH AT 935-6092 EXT 2 or 3

 

Trip Changes and Cancellation Policy for Charter Bus Companies:

  • Charter Bus Passengers Availability: 24 Passengers, 31 Passengers, & 50 Passengers.
  • To make changes in a trip, One (1) business day advance notification required.
  • To cancel a trip, 10-15 days advance notification required to avoid a late cancellation charge.
  • To make changes or cancel Chartered bus, PLEASE CALL THE BUS COMPANY DIRECTLY.

How to Request

Field Trip Reqeust

Requesting transportation for field trips within Sonoma Valley Unified School District is part of the Field Trip Request process. Use this link to start a Field Trip Request.  Transportation needs to receive the approved field trip  21 days in advance, so please plan accordingly. Note guidelines and fees, including pick-up/return times, location charges, and teacher responsibilities. Ensure all approvals and details are provided. For cancellations, notify the Transportation Office immediately.
