👥 The Community Advisory Committee (CAC)
The CAC is a dynamic group of parents, educators, and community members collaborating directly with the Sonoma County SELPA (the regional special education consortium that SVUSD belongs to) to ensure students receive the best possible education and equal access to services. All meetings are open to the public in a hybrid format - in person at SCOE (5340 Skylane Boulevard, Santa Rosa) and via video link (see link below).

🧩 Matrix Parent Network & Resource Center
Matrix is California's designated Family Empowerment Center for our region, serving Marin, Napa, Solano, and Sonoma counties. Run primarily by parents of children with special needs themselves, Matrix works directly with families to strengthen their advocacy skills. They offer free, confidential one-on-one parent advising, toolkits, and educational webinars.

🤲 Parents Helping Parents
A San Jose-based organization offering comprehensive support, up-to-date resources, and guidance for families of individuals with disabilities of any age; the program is uniquely staffed by parents of children with special needs who firsthand understand the complexities of navigating these services
