Per CA Education Code, "The governing board of each school district annually shall issue a School Accountability Report Card for each school in the school district, publicize those reports, and notify parents or guardians of pupils that a hard copy will be provided upon request."
The purpose of the SARC is to provide parents and the community with important information about each public school in our district. A SARC can be an effective way for a school to succinctly report on its progress in achieving specific academic goals and to also review a variety of other factors which are also addressed in the report. It is important to note that the SARC's are approved a year in arrears so the Board will be approving the SARC's now for the 2021-22 year.
For SVUSD, total expenditures per pupil (restricted and unrestricted) are reported at the district level as not all funds are allocated directly to school sites. Total teacher salary is also reported at the district level to control for the impact of varied years of teaching on average teacher salaries at our school sites.
School Accountability Report Cards (SARC) Input Forms in English have been completed and submitted to Document Tracking Systems. Once Input Forms are activated by DTS, they will send SVUSD a copy of the completed SARC report. Document Tracking Systems will submit our report to the state on our behalf prior to the publishing deadline of February 1, 2023. The final SARCs are posted in English and Spanish below.
Parents/guardians who are interested in obtaining a printed copy of a school’s SARC may request one from the school office.
2021-2022 SARCs were approved by the Board on December 13, 2023.
